One of the techs/gunsmith mentioned QC during priming was poor in certain makes and was leaving gaps that could result in misfires/hangfires.
My $.02: True? I don't know, sounds feasible. QC has been a problem in critical steps in production in a lot of things... Still, a lot of variables to consider. I shoot Remington, Federal, CCI, Winchester, whatever is cheapest, for plinking. CCI has never caused a problem. Remington and Federal yes, I've had some misfires. Winchester I bought online and haven't tried yet.
