I engaged in some libation with my fellow club members.
They more or less agreed that something was amiss. My friend Gordon commented that with match grade or high end ammo it was not an issue. He has a target grade 22 lr auto loader and shoots stuff like Norma through it. Never an issue.
Now. When it comes to the Walmart off the shelf, now it goes down hill. We seem to be in agreement that there is a failure of 1 or 2 per 100 rounds. As a teen, about thirty years past, we would get a failure at around 5000 or so. Now it is much greater.
