of them. To me the difference in the feel in the hand is what makes a difference. Having carried the Star PD for 40 years my hand feels perfect with that in it. Yet having hunted with and shot in combat shooting with a longslide for almost 40 years, I feel just as comfortable with it. I don't notice a difference in the weight at all even though I know it is there. If I pull a gun my mind is on why I pulled it, not whether it feels heavier or bulkier than another of my 45s. A person that shoots a lot won't notice the difference. I would bet when John Taffin picks up a 45 whether it be a lightweight commander or full size steel frame Gvt model he doesn't think of the difference. To me all 1911s feel the same in my hand. Your mileage may differ. Mox nix.
