Also make a square bag! The good ones will unzip down the side and along the bottom. So if you have a good ground pad you can unzip the bag and use it like a comforter. The pad will insulated you from the ground. You can use a mummy bag the same way just put one foot or both in the end box and pull the rest over the top of you. No one ever said you had to sleep in the bag!
