to time. When I developed the 410 GNR I built myself a 6" 410 GNR revolver. I had a hunt coming up in a few weeks so I loaded up some of Kelly Brost's fine 255 grain hard cast gas check LFN bullets. We were hunting the Savannah Buffalo, also called the Central African buffalo. One came out of the heavy brush and chased the truck. He just wouldn't stop. I told the driver/PH to circle around with the bull to the right of us. As he did I tumbled out the left side door and the bull stood sideways to me watching the truck going in circles. I rested my elbow on my knee and took the shot. It hit him on the point of his left shoulder. He bucked like a horse and ran off. At about 45 to 50 yards he stopped and started blowing blood out of his mouth. He staggered a bit and fell over and it was all over. That hard cast bullet did the job right. One of the skinners saved the bullet for me. It was battered on the nose but could be loaded and shot again. From that day on I have used the 250 or 255 grain LFN that Kelly made. Unfortunately when Kelly sold Cast Performance the new owner dropped those bullets. I have been trying to find one like it since that day.
