being luck. That hard part was the second shot. The sheep fell at the first shot with the 44 Auto Mag but was struggling to get up so I had to make that lucky shot a second time as I had no idea where I hit him. At 200 yards the front sight covered him up completely. But I got lucky a second time and put him down with the second shot. And like you said the 44 Auto Mag brass was hand made from 308 or 30-06 brass so i tried not to lose any of it.
Again thanks for the memory. Sometimes (most of the time) I am too busy to stop and think about some of the early hunts and for sure I don't have the time to sit and watch a video of some of our early hunts. So the reminder is welcome.
