The 1st mule deer I took with a handgun was with a .44 mag Super Blackhawk. 1 round at 60 yards, 240 gr SJSP. I then took a cow elk with the same gun at about 50 yards a year later, shot it twice but soon learned I did not need to. Then I took a small mule deer with a Python at 30 yards, 140 gr JSP. I'm not listing any of the javalina other that the last one. I used a Gary Reeder American Classic BP .475 caliber (this is the converted Ruger Old Army). Welcome to the club and well done!
