Go overboard with the heavy recoil spring. I believe it needs to be heavy enough to keep It in battery long enough for pressure to drop so the case is not under enough pressure to deform when not supported. That being said the link has a lot to do with how tight your lock up is. But I have found a balance that I can run hot 45 Super and +p 45acp of the same bullet weight in a government 1911. Also, a warm 45 Super and a +p 45acp of the same weight bullet in a commander 1911 with out issues. One key is the right buffer system tuned into o the “power factor “ of the ammo.
