like the 338 GNR, 350 GNR, 378 GNR and one or two others were developed in the original Contender (G-1). The loads in the red loading manual are for the encore but just drop the loads by 10% and you have the contender load.Like any cartridge start low and work up. But don't go too low or you will get misfires. Just drop 3 or 4 grains and start there.
