that would be an ideal idea to scope it with a classic Leupold set up 4X or maybe find a Burris in that fantastic 3x. Not a real expensive project. Like I need another one.

If I could find a factory full lug take off I'd sure be tempted. The 6" extra barrel I have is a little too common for my interest. Dad's gone and I'm what's left. I'm making special memories for the pieces the kids shoot and enjoy. I can't see the sights hardly anymore but if I shoot irons the 8-3/8" gives me an advantage. Strangely the longer barrel gives very little if any ballistic advantage over a 6". It's not worth the extra hanging out there.
