Or maybe what don't kill you makes you stronger. The entire Cajun story is worth Googling. Exiled and with no home some German settlers kind of took them in. They literally ate whatever they could lay hands upon. The same idea you can eat anything with enough BBQ sauce (Cajun sourced spices and hot pepper) spawned what we know today as South Louisiana Cajun cooking. AhEeeeee!

I wish I could talk like they do. Do Huey sound like dat? I do like those really tan Creole ladies, and the way they dance.
