I have a hankering for a little Derringer

one of the western style but a small one, not a .410/.45 etc. I used to keep those little pot-metal Davis things around back when I sold them. (3) for $100 was my cost. I liked the little .22 Mag. versions. They made a .32 ACP version too. I want to play with the mechanics etc. I have a Colt copy of the #3 but it has a pot metal barrel and rifling (it looks to me) and is .22 short only, single shot.

I also like the old vintage ones that FIE imported from Italy, they were .38 Special and a few like the HAWES were sometimes found in .38 S&W (short), although I think they were German.

It has to drop in my pocket and almost disappear. The .22 WMR makes a good snake gun with the CCI shotshells. At least at long hoe handle distances.
