What are the pros and cons of your state/region?

Hello All:

If you do not mind me asking, what are the pros and cons of the state/region you live in?

I've been blessed in traveling to many states but never spent more than a couple of weeks on one area to make a good evaluation.

As an example, I spent a good two weeks in Hurricane Utah a few years ago. I really love the area but I do believe that the prospects of a full time job with benefits would require me to drive to St. George. Not bad since it isn't a huge commute. Land in that area is getting pricier as it seems to be very attractive to live near the entrance to Zion National Park.

So that is an example of what I see. What could you tell me about your particular area?
