I have never owned a plastic pistol ...

don't like the cheapness of the way they are made ... lots of things I don't care for about them ... BUT .. I picked up a Kahr CW 45 the other week for about nothing. The person selling it needed money .. it's a long story. Anyway .. the gun sat in a safe for several years, in some kind of gun storage bag .. was never cleaned .. and rusted to the bag.

This is what it looked like when I picked it up.

I killed the rust with penetrating oil and bronze wool.

Been polishing on it in the evenings. It's coming along.

The thing functions just fine. Only problem I ran into was it would not chamber .452" bullets. I mic'd the barrel and the bore is .450" ...

So I sized some of my cast bullets down to .450" and will load them soon and see how it does.

Shooting offhand at 15 yards it was easy to keep all the shots together.

It is a no frills gun ... long smooth trigger pull ..feels like you cock the striker all the way. But all I have into it is a little cash and some sweat.

My first plastic pistol.
