others who didn't keep them but also didn't have sound reasons to report, just fickle guys who tried them and went on. That's unsatisfying to me, I want feed-back.

I did read from several credible sources that they will function with many 1911 magazines. That makes sense in design. The .40 recoil is really sharp. I'd bet the .45 is more manageable. My 180-200 gr. .40 loads run right at 1000-1050 fps. I like the .40 Kahr comparing the 16 oz. 6/7shot wonder to a 1873 Colt in .38-40. What would they think?!

To recommend one though, I'd suggest a 9mm or maybe a .45 like yours if they wanted a max. bore bruiser.
