morning there were people lined up waiting. I had 2 of my guys, Jimmy and Matt behind the counter waiting on folks and 100% of the people were looking for ammo. 2 of the couples were up from Phoenix. They spent hours yesterday hitting all the gun shops in phoenix looking for 380, 38 spl, 9mm and 45. They said none of the shops they went to had any of these calibers. They said some of the shops had some odd ammo like 357 Sig, 6.8 SPC and such. A lady at one of the shops told them the Pistol Parlor in Flag had a lot of ammo so they drove 2 1/2 hours to be here at opening time. They got the ammo they wanted and didn't get ripped off. They paid more than they would have 6 months ago but still didn't get raped. Our cost is now 40% more than it was last year and I don't see it getting any better before the first of the year and really I don't see it getting better at all. The good military/police load from Federal, 124 grain FMJ is running $17 a box of 20. That is higher than it was a year ago but we still have the same mark up we always have.We try not to carry the steel cased ammo as it is so hard on your gun but a lot of folks want it. The only steel case junk we have right now is for an AK-47. And that is a 40 round box for $7.

We pretty much have some of all the handgun ammo, 380, 9mm, 10mm, 40 caliber, 45 and so on but have no idea when it will dry up totally.

If you need ammo , don't waste your time looking for the cheapest you can find as the good stuff may be gone when you get tired of looking for the cheapest. Your family's lives are worth the extra you might spend to get the good stuff. Like John Taffin always says, you can't afford to buy the cheap stuff. Think about it.
