I had a desire, an intense want for a mannelicher rifle for years, especially after I passed one up in Germany when I was TDY there. So I finally got to a point where I could almost afford one and bought a used one in 270, a mannelicher steyer full stock. I could shoot three rounds at 100 yards that would touch but then the 4th round and 5th round and on would drift left inch by inch. the heat in Florida was no help either. I never figured it out. It was and is maddening. Then there was the Ruger mini 30 ! I got a used one and it shot everywhere so I sent it back to Ruger for another barrel. Put a scope on it and it was perfect at 75 yards, after that the circle of impact broadened to the point I got upset with it and got rid of it.
