While it functions, it had to have the worst trigger I’ve ever encountered. It had a point mid-pull that pressure would build like it was about to fire and then you would have to keep on pulling through that to a second point when it actually did fire! For a really cheap self-defense personal carry weapon, it works; but I’m at a point in life that I don’t need to out up with that so down the road it went.

The other is a Llama 1911 in 38 Super. I bought it used in college mostly because I always liked the cartridge. It would eject the spent cases and literally hit you right between the eyes with them. It sat in the back of a safe forever until I got it out and tuned it with the right springs and took a file to the extractor. Works well these days. My old dad is thinking he needs a house gun so I’ll probably just give it to him if he wants it. He likes 1911s and he and my mom are coming by tomorrow.
