It was painful. With the shoulder stock extended it was tolerable as the "pistol" grip absorbs some of the shock headed to your shoulder. It made about a 3" diameter hole completely though a large hog, you could almost see through it! For all we know that round ball is still going. Literally a cannon! Puffy had to have it.

There was some conjecture as to the legality of the rig. Never ask a question you might not want to know the answer, so we didn't! Being a muzzle loader it was excluded from many laws, BUT it is not a "traditional" ML. Hinged breach ignited by a shotgun primer. That's where the ATF might have a rub, so we simply didn't go there.
