Elmer got tangled with an ornry elk and that turned him off but I think too much has been written regarding the “hard to load” nonsense with good brass and patience you will be humming along.

Gary has pics of Kase hunting with a custom 44/40 i bet more than 20 yrs ago... I will always remember how peculiar it seemed but a 44/40 in a modern gun is a 44 mag by another name. I often wondered why he chose that round as a younger fella.
