cylinder between the bolt notches are over pressure signs if im not mistaken..the cylinder mashes hard against the top strap upon firing the hot load....im not referring to the ring from turning the cylinder. Seen this before...but correct me if im wrong in this case. Not saying anything wrong with the revolver, just that it might have seen some pretty hot loads at some point. A 5 shot cylinder don't mean you can load it beyond the manual, or reason.
