even think it was fun a week or so afterward. Georg seemed immune to hypothermia. I am not. I get it easily and could die! I once got it in Daytona Beach at 60 deg. I ran from a hot tub into a room that did not have the heat on. Thankfully they stuck me in the hot shower before I passed out totally or bit my tongue off from all the chattering.

Goerg didn't have nice light sleeping bags that worked well even when wet (like we do now). Those tarps are not poly light either and were usually leaky. I know times were different and men were harder, but man you can die out there if you are not literally and mentally prepared. He couldn't just run to the hotel if weather got harsh. Speaking of, they had crap weather reporting back then too. Radar was still new. Plus he was taking pot shots at bears with a .22!
