Shot doe that I nearly lost. My fault as I shot too high but not high enough to hit the spine.

But had that same result with the Model 71 .348. Bullets were jacketed soft point but intended for larger game. I shot a Whitetail at about 20 feet. Luckily it ran out into a bean field .. ran over 100 yards before it started going in circles and fell over. 34 caliber hole in and out.

Made me start thinking about matching the bullet to the game i was hunting.
