They are not high quality but worked

An affordable delight back when Westerns and Quick Draw were all the rage, Gunsmoke and Bonanza for me. I think they were only $20 new. This one I'm working on I finally opened up the rear sight notch but the entire groove in the topstrap is too shallow. But I got to a workable level before I ran out of depth to go. I COULD mill a deeper channel and then a really nice rear notch. But this will work. I've already blacked the file work with a black marker. lol

Next will be sawing at the front sight top to move impact up. I found an old Nylon camo Uncle Mikes holster in a forgotten box. It's a plan coming together.

You never know. One day it might be the "first" handgun someone ever shoots. Lured into comfortable submission by the old west looks. It's a good trainer. Load "5", then lower hammer from the safety notch. I never got the one then "skip" thing.

This is about what my eyes see under ideal conditions too.
