a neighbor was shot in the stomach with an 1860 Colt Army replica. The ball went through him, hit the kitchen table, bounced up and went through a cupboard door and stopped in a loaf of bread.

He survived but had an awful time of it for several years. It was almost a muzzle contact shot and all that black powder and fouling went into him ... they had to clean almost all of his insides. He was a mess.
