IN .44 COLT,.44 SPECIAL, .45 SCHOFIELD. The first Cartridge ConversionS/Open Tops from Uberti were chambered in .44 Colt and would not take either the shorter .44 Russian or the longer .44 Special as the rims on the latter two have a diameter which was large for the size of the cylinder. At one time, a very short time, it was possible to purchase 4 IN 1 brass which was the same length as the Russian but with the rim diameter of the .44 Colt thus allowing it to be used in those original Uberti .44 Colt sixguns. Currently Ubertis are available chambered in .44 Special which allows them to use all three of these cartridges.
