Price of used FA revolvers....

I have seen a sharp price increase on the good old FA83's out there. The 97's are always high but you used to find a deal now and again on the 83's. Practically the standard 83 is a deal itself but the brushed finished "Premier" M83's are pushing two grand when you find them, where I used to get them for $1000-1200 all day used.

From what I remember the external finishing and grips are the only difference?! They are truly a worthy addition to any handgunner's collection as to true performance. They can shoot 1 MOA if you could hold them (I can't anymore). An amazing feat since there are (5) holes mechanically aligning to function. Oh I've cussed their outrageous tight tolerances that magnify any sloppiness at all in brass specification, sizing, primer depth, crimp bulge, etc. It's the best in fit and requires the same from ammo, but rewards with perfection in outright performance.

But that grip....

I'm getting rid of long guns and might seek one for my collection. They do perform.
