It just comes up short when you feel one that has been “Gunfightered”. Also for some reason FA guns seem to nave very small trigger guard openings. It’s ok to me as I have pretty small hands. A friend and Bear guide of mine has sausages for fingers and his didn’t fit! I’d never really noticed it before.

The FA grip just feels different, not quite right to me. You should try that same SA grip on my FA2008 in .378 GNR! Maybe 3,000+ fpe was not such a good fit! Lol

I manage the factory wood and smooth FA83 and 97 grip fine. One gun I was checking out had the special Pachmayr on it. I’d RUN, not walk to get it to Gary so he could do his magic. You’d just never know or understand till you handled one done so yourself!
