I have a field grade in .50AE with a 7 1/2 barrel and the factory Pachmayr grips and it's flat brutal to shoot! Kicks way harder than my .454 and .475 Linebaugh. There Premier grades with the factory wood and micarta grips. I thought it was just me that found the Pachmayr's made recoil worse. On my old Ruger and Smith .44s I think the rubber grips help, something about the Freedom grip frame I guess. I even sent it to Magna -Port to have it ported and its still pretty rough recoil wise, I think it needs grips now.
