Since I have such a wonderful selection of fine revolvers in all flavors, due in large to Gary, it's difficult to find another, on a budget, to blow air up my skirt. After several misses on nice .44 Specials that soared out of reach at the last minute (to more zealous enthusiast's), I gave up for a while. As said, I have plenty anyway.
I bought a SIG 320 X-Carry a while back, to play with since I've had lots of Glocks, Walthers, and Beretta's etc., for a big carry autoloader. It's new and a little fun, interesting. I've tinkered with the frame modules. Soon I'll add an optic (they cost almost as much as the gun). It has not truly scratched my itch. But at least it's not a Glock!
In the meantime I went totally 180 deg. and ordered a Cop trade-in G23 Gen-4 with night sights and a sack of extra mags. Roman is shaking his head in bewilderment, why not just a G19. Dad has to do his thing. A G23 can easily be converted to a 9mm with only a barrel change (really a dedicated mag is good too). Ditto a .357 SIG if I felt the desire (uses the .40 mags). I also see barrel and spring kits for cheap to tinker with the .22 TCM on the platform, less than $150. Of course the aftermarket is rife with all sorts of goo-gaws too. So I feel vindicated blowing my wheelgun (deposit) on a broken-in Glock. Irv gave me a really nice book on the Glocks a while back, I knew I should have put it back in the bookcase.
We don't talk about them much, but several of US have them, the G-guns. Almost a different classification is needed, they are seen more as tools. NO denying they function magnificently as designed. The Dewalt of the gun world. I find this makes three, to go with the carry G30s and G21 platform I have tinkered and abused to my delight. The middle child G19 platform is a Goldilocks rig. I bet YOU have one too!?

Gave in to another ugly, soulless G-gun, again.
