the rain and melting snow that is causing a lot of problems. There are over 500 homes in this little part of the county and all have septic tanks. These tanks tend to fill up if the leach fields end up under several feet of snow. Our tank has had to be pumped out twice last week at over $1000. So I have been running sump pumps to get the grey water out of our septic tank. It is a real pain in the butt but nowhere near as much trouble as many of the houses are having. Our house is at the top of a small hill so no real bad problems. The pictures I showed today is the worst we have had in a few years. But the folks at the bottom of the hill are really having flooding problems.
