30+ years ago I was brown bear hunting in Alaska. To get there you had to fly into Anchorage.
In the airport was a huge bear, almost 14 feet. A guy had killed it in self defense, shooting it 11 times with a 270.
When there opened up the bear, he had 5 38 rounds in his chest. The me that cut him open opined, he hoped the 38 shooter saved the 6th round for himself.
