earlier Africa hunts. They were and still are extremely accurate but crawling in the sand to do a long stalk on a critter my Auto Mag ended up with some sand in it and it quit working on me until I completely gave it a douche. I didn't have the equipment with me so I left it in the tent the rest of that hunt. On another hunt it did very well with no problems.
The good thing about hunting Africa back in the early to mid '90s was the ability to bring about as many guns as you could stuff in a Pelican gun case. I brought Auto Mags, Grizzlys, Contenders, revolvers and anything else I wanted to try out in an actual hunt. Today it's 3 handguns and they are very picky about what handguns we bring.
