of those things including the 22 Magnum, and the semi auto rifle would get him jail time or big fine. Even in the late 70s or early 80s they were a no-no. We were allowed to shoot the Blue Ball Monkeys (the Vervet Monkey) the last few times we were in South Africa but on our most recent safaris they told us they were protected.
And any semi auto rifle or handgun were not allowed.
