have a special purpose built long range rifle built in it. I like the 6.5CM and it is inherently accurate, like the 308 Win and 300 Win mag are. Both won their fair share of matches, 600 and 1000 yards. I like the extra power of the 6.5x284, especially when it is built on a long action to take advantage of the long 6.5 142gr bullets. Yes, arcing trajectory but much less than many LR cartridges.
