The CMP has opened a range about an hour away from my house. Now that I will have access to a range in excess of 100 yards i want to add a 30-06 to my rifle arsenal, (deal pending with another misfit).
Where I need some feedback, advice and reviews here is on locating 14" G2 17 HMRs a rifle as well as what seemed best for your shooting and why. I have seen CZ 455's with both a 17 and 22 barrel for right at $600 new. Also want to consider the Ruger American Target and Savage. Hopefully I will be able to find a good used oone. WB says the 14" will be good practice for many of Gary's cartrs
