and heavy barrel. The Accu-trigger is usable. It's heavy and tinny, the mag is so cheap looking but the thing works and shoots into a dime at 100 yds. It's only true endearing quality to me. I also HATE that thumbhole stock. Would much prefer the regular target stock model. I've never heard of a Savage that didn't shoot like crazy, either a $200 model or $400 one. They have too many to choose from these days.

This is the model I have, different colored stock.

I had a Ruger 77 with walnut stock and loved the gun. But it was simply not in the class as the Savage as to accuracy. The trigger needed help too. Plus it was expensive, but I came out on it overall. I still like them.

Doug and my friends have and had CZ's. A REAL rifle, certainly not inexpensive, but worth the cost asked. They are quality, shoot the eyes out, and hold value well. My favorite and pick would be the 455 American.

Anytime you can buy something of quality, use it carefully a few years, and make money on is a win-win. Good guns are not cheap, cheap guns are not good, but some sure do shoot.
