I had an old Sako for 20+ years. When TSHTF for me in 2010, I let it go. It was my companion on a dozen big game hunts in the west and Alaska. It was cut to 22 inches with a Macmillan(sp) stock. The saddle rub really worked over the camo finish on the stock but it gave it real character.It was a much more accurate gun than I deserved, 4x fixed scope cuz' I can't hit shit far away. You know you've hit rock bottom when you let go of an old friend like that. Now I'm over compensating with Ruger #1s and Reeders.
