Starting with the 50 AK brass I went down to 458 and then the 416. With the 348 brass I didn't anneal either. I just filled it up the shoulder with a pistol powder (AA#7, Blue Dot, Unique etc) tamped down the powder with 1/4 of the square of toilet tissue rolled up into a ball and shot it in the 416 GNR chamber. It always worked fine.
