It was easy for me. I did not try to mash it all at once, wonder if it would crumple? I'd be a little afraid annealing might make things worse. Typically I anneal when "necking up" not necking down. I want the brass softer and more stretchy. I have "telescoped" or collapsed the neck into itself once when I improperly annealed the shoulder area of a case.

But who knows do whatever you normally do. I've just never tried it.

I squeezed .30-30 to .25-35 in one pass. Takes some pressure but I wanted to see if it worked, it did. I also necked up a .25-35 to .30-30 just to see, it also worked with new brass.
