benefit from doing a G2 or Contender in such a Moose hammer. The Encore is only 1.5 lbs. heavier and not only bunches stronger it is much, much, more pleasant to actually shoot. The good old days through rose colored glasses may seem good but man I don't want to go there.

I can flinch bad enough as it is. I've had Encore cannons in .510 GNR, .50 AK, and .500 Maximum. I shudder to think of a light 5 lb. contender rig in one. Those boys back then were sure badder than I am now. Probably no brakes on one of them!
