in a bore. Man I was miffed and it was stuck something awful. You know me I tried it all. I finally got it out but the method still gives me cold sweats. There is a lot of science going on thumping a bullet down a bore. With all this computer age you'd think they know everything there is to know. I do not think that is true, folks just ask less questions.
Painting on a ultra thin jacket seems to be all the rage lately and it works! Within limits. It's simply a combination of lube/plating/coating. Heck of an idea when you think of it. I wanted to try "pure" lead with a painted on coating to see if I could run std. velocities and not have leading. I know how the expansion would be.
For all the technology today you'd think they would really change the 130 yr. old rimfire round in a miraculous manner. Nope, other than modding a little on the projectile and propellants it's the same old greasy outside lubed bullet. I think I did see some "painted" Christmas colors once. Not sure if it was a novelty or attempt to do something special.
