You can see the difference in the "rifle" type base with different spacing on the rings for longer scopes compared to the "handgun" type. Swapped around they are a better match. Really satisfying if only in my mind.

Also you can clearly see here where the 5-min. epoxy simply fills gaps and can greatly keep things from shifting, plus moisture is kept out from attacking screws hidden under there.
