loads of yester year when I too, was much younger. The heaviest bullet I use today is the Hornady 350gr. RN, or "baby" .458. My favorite hunting bullet used in RSA in 2003 and 2004 was the now discontinued 300gr. Nosler PP, "Protected Point" designed for levergun tube mags.
I bought 4 boxes of 50 PP's back then to squirrel away, not knowing they would die a quick death. I have four reloading manuals spanning 22 years, each starts with a different "Max" pressure for the TC single-shots. The 2004 Lyman Manual actually has a specific load for the Nosler 300gr. PP @ 27,000cup.
My 445SM G2 carbine has a very similar "bolt thrust" footprint as the 45-70 at a higher pressure without any side effects. But, that's handloading...

To be easy on the frame I'd stick to less pressure loads
