No doubt used for shooting all sorts of things. Bad guys, Elk Bear, Deer, just because it was what was behind the door when needed. The old 180 gr. bullet barely breaks 1200 fps in a rifle. Putting it where it counts is what makes it. Lots of old SAA and New Service wheelguns in that round too. Oddly S&W never picked it up, I don't believe in anything. Marlin did, as did Remington.
