Tree stands have evolved into comfy lounge chairs that people shoot their toes off on.
Back in GA 40 years ago you could use any store bought stand you wanted as long as it was a Walker stand. Every hunter I have ever known that used that stand has taken a very speedy trip down a pinetree hugging it for dear life after the foot bar gave up its grip. Pine bark eats right through light weight hunting shirts.
