I really like this 22....

I really like 22's... As I get older, I find that I like them more and more. Some of them are capable of amazing accuracy, and others are just downright fun to shoot...

I recently purchased a Tikka T1X 22 rifle. I'd read good things about them, so I decided to give one a try. When it arrived, I was very impressed... (I'm a "picky" engineer... My friends use the term "anal" but I know they mean it in a good way... :-) ). It takes a lot to really impress me, and this rifle does. First, it has an easily adjustable great trigger. I adjusted mine to 2.5 pounds; crisp; no over travel. This is the kind of trigger that I've spent several hundred dollars to get on some of my other rifles.... Bolt operates very smoothly. 10 round magazine is ugly, but works really well and feeds smoothly. Stock is synthetic but is well designed and very functional and fits me well. Barrel is medium heavy and threaded so I can use my suppresor. Receiver is both grooved and drilled and tapped for scope mounts.

The biggest thing for me is that this thing can really shoot!!!! Using RWS Target ammo (fairly inexpensive ammo..) this thing will shoot 3/8" five shot groups at 50 yards. My son commented that he just put the cross hair on what he wanted to hit and squeezed the trigger, and he hit it...

While I really like blued steel and walnut, I got to say that I like this rifle!!!!!!

5 rounds at 50 yards....
