I used a DIP picatinny rail mounted on top of the receiver. I have a Vortex Crossfire II 4x-12X scope with adjustable objective in Leupold QRW rings. It's not a high end Vortex scope, but the optics are good and it's not so large that it is out of place. Plus, I had it sitting on my bench looking for a home....

The ammo was not weighed or sorted in any fashion. I have several cases of this RWS Target from 10 years ago when a friend owned a gunshop and I could buy it for $2.50 a box. I didn't have much time at the range (I was helping my son sight in his AR) so I just brought that ammo to sight the rifle in with. It is not a premium ammo, but usually shoots reasonable well in most of my guns and is subsonic for my suppressor. I do have Eley Club and Tennex, as well as RWS R-50 and RWS subsonic hollowpoints that I want to try in this rifle when I can get to the range.
