his buddy. His buddy asked if e had the 300 PRC, Hornady's new screamer. The know it all told his buddy that the 6.5 Creedmoor shot as flat as the 300 PRC. so we pulled out a 300 PRC and the 6.5 CM and the 300 is about twice the size of the 6.5. And ballistics showed a LOT of difference. So they left with Mr. know it all mumbling bad things about my Mother.

Anyway this brought up a question. Which is more powerful, the age old 300 Win Mag or the 300 PRC or the 30 Nosler. Got an opinion? So we googled each one. The 300 PRC is 2.556" which is .025 longer than the 300 Win Mag and 50 FPS faster . The 30 Nosler is EXACTLY the same as the 300 PRC in length, diameter, case capacity etc which for all practical purposes is EXACTLY the same as the 300 Win Mag. The 30 Nosler is 75 fps faster than the 300 PRC which is 50 FPS faster than the 300 Win Mag. So now that you are completely confused I guess we can say
nothing is really new these days.
