I have a .300 win mag that Gary slicked up for me some years ago, I used 180 grain berger bullets and got a 6x6 elk at Whittington back then. I am happy with what I have. It outshot the 300 Weatherby magnum I brought with me at the time. I also have a peculiar weatherby 270 magnum rifle, it is superbly accurate, and I love it! Sometimes I question whether I should get this or that new rifle, but some of my old timers are OK.
